Get My Help Every Step of the Way

Hi, I'm Leah, and I've been helping students just like you crush the MCAT for more than a decade.

My own painful pre-med journey showed me what it’s like to struggle on your own, to fail at what you think is the right path, and to feel unsure of where to turn or how to find the answers.  It's why I left the pre-med path to become a pre-med mentor, and that's exactly why you're never alone in my MCAT Study Hall.

After working with pre-meds for more than a decade, I've discovered that there is no one-size fits all.  You are unique, so you need solutions that are customized to you. That's exactly what you'll find inside the study hall...
  • Content- content is broken down in a logical way so you can easily pick the topics you need.
  • Strategy- The strategy bootcamp shows you step-by-step how to create your custom study plan. Then plan to attend weekly office hours with me so that you're never feeling stuck
  • Community-  ask your daily questions and create lifelong friendships with your fellow study hall members.

Whether you're just starting out, finished with content, or merely weeks from your exam, with my help, you'll always know exactly what to focus on to ensure you crush this thing.

“I really like how [in Office Hours] I get bite sized, personalized help week to week without paying the rates for intense 1:1 sessions. I feel like we tackle a new problem every week and I get to fine-tune my strategy within my budget. I also REALLY appreciate hearing other student's concerns and problems, it makes me feel like I'm not alone and I love seeing how other students tackle their studying.”
"Leah’s strategy helped me map out my time and identify points within my daily schedule that can be maximized for study or even light review. Most of us are rather busy on any given day and Leah can help you figure out the best use of those minutes normally applied toward mundane tasks while also crafting time tailored to your schedule to balance the studying with all that life entails.

I don't even know where to begin my studies

I'm overwhelmed (re)learning all of the sciences

The MCAT is a 7.5 hour exam covering 8 different disciplines. That’s 3 years worth of undergraduate level science, and isn't something you can simply ‘get done’ with a mere few hours of studying here and there, or even an intense 2-3 month cram schedule. That's why I break down all of the sciences in a logical, easy to digest manner so that you can build your content foundation from the ground up.

Doing math without a calculator scares me

While the MCAT isn't a math test, it does require you to do calculations in your head quickly. In my MCAT Math Foundations Bootcamp (included in your membership), I will teach you how to do MCAT math in your head with plenty of tips and tricks for doing calculations quickly so you never lose a point due to a simple miscalculation.

I have a good strategy, but life keeps getting me off track

Unfortunately, life doesn't stop so that you can take months to study for this exam. Your kids get sick, something comes up at work, you have a big project due at school...the list goes on. The key to dealing with these things is knowing how to adjust your study strategy when things come up.  That's why I offer weekly office hours (included with your membership) to help you adjust and know exactly what to focus on every single week--even if something comes up.

Member's Only Community

When facing something as difficult as the MCAT, you need people to turn to who get it. Even if your parents support you 100%, they may not understand what makes this journey so difficult. And while your undergrad friends may have already gotten their jobs, moved away, and moved on, you are left feeling alone and isolated.

The members-only Facebook group is full of people working toward the same goal who are excited to build one another up by answering questions, commiserating with you when you need it, and providing support and motivation.

You might even make a few lifelong friends along the way!

“I was really hesitant and worried that [your videos] would be just as useless as the other prep companies and only give surface explanation of topics but boy was I wrong. You go waaaayyy in depth and explain all the foundational concepts in chemistry and physics. Through your videos, I now realize that my foundation in chemistry was extremely weak and all this time I’ve been trying to build an MCAT-sized chemistry house on a weak foundation!! By watching your videos I am able to re-learn and experience several “ah-ha” moments that are crucial for me to expand and build my understanding of the MCAT chem/phys section.”

“I am so blessed to have found you on YouTube. Having the study hall group is amazing because not only do other students help, Leah makes sure to respond to the study hall group as well, which is extremely helpful. I do not use Facebook too often and I'm REALLY bad with technology so I would never really use the study hall, until Leah challenged me to. Once… that's all it took for me to realize how helpful it was with other students responding to my questions and getting feedback from Leah. When other students explain in a way you had never thought of, the information just clicks. I was definitely not expecting for it to be as helpful as it is. I am extremely glad and blessed that she challenged me to post.”

"Leah’s MCAT Study Hall is a program that builds on core concepts needed for the MCAT from the ground up and really emphasizes the foundational concepts in a logical manner, which are important in understanding the more complex processes…. “At the beginning of my MCAT journey I was at my wits end. I spent thousands of dollars on a big name MCAT course and a tutor only to feel disappointed in the teaching style/information I was receiving. I had saved some of Leah’s tutorials for Biochem, but I was wary of spending even more money on exam prep. I had been studying content for 6 months out of the books and I was still scoring in the 400’s on my full length exams.

I had no direction from my “tutors” and then one day I ran into Leah's Biochem live sample. Her teaching style was so similar to how I constructed notes and understood information that I finally felt hopeful
. I learned more about the amino acids in that 1 hr video lecture than I had in the entire 6 months prior.

I decided to sign up for the [Study Hall] and joined the Facebook group. I watched every single video in her library on how to structure my studying, review exams, and plan my goals. I watched her content videos and
everything finally made sense. I started hitting my targets and I felt relieved just to have a plan around even the most minute details like timing during each section.

I applied to medical school this cycle and
was admitted with a half tuition scholarship to my 2nd choice school!”

I [previously] self-studied for the mcat as I could not afford a prep program. I utilized a set of kaplan books passed down to me, khan academy, reddit resources, and youtube videos for content review. I felt like I was missing a formal structure that would tell me what benchmarks I should be hitting and how much review vs practice to be doing. I heavily relied on Leah's youtube videos to get through organic chemistry, and I figured she would be a great resource to help with MCAT prep as well. As a non-traditional, ADHD student, I feel like Leah just gets me.

My favorite feature of the Study Hall was the beautiful excel spreadsheet to track all of my progress, and that alone is why I would (and have!) recommended it to a friend. I like to see visual progress so filling out the tracker daily really helped me to meet my goals

Leah also has great tips such as using a timer, which is now a fundamental part of my studying. I did not watch all of Leah's videos but I always turned to them when I was struggling with a concept, especially for physics.

If I summed up my experience in one word it would be "motivated." I owe a lot of my success to the spreadsheet comments and emails of encouragement that kept me on track. Thank you so much for everything!!

"Like most people, when I think about the MCAT and the astronomical amounts of information you’re expected to know, I am overwhelmed by all the content I must learn and apply to test taking strategy and still be able to take the 7 hour marathon test…. You realize that you will likely never know everything and begin to think why bother knowing any of this at all. You also need to build taking strategy specific to the MCAT. These things all combine to create the scary “MCAT monster” that is a nightmare for the average pre-med…. When you juggle different things that you’re currently doing (full time employment for instance), it just makes it hard for you to see the best way to study for the MCAT. The strategy breaks that “monster” into smaller, manageable pieces. I had a hard time trying to make my schedule for everything else fit with my study schedule and with what to learn when. The strategy just helped me to plan out everything and to master one topic at a time in my MCAT studying and still have time to attend to my normal activities during the week."

“The first time I took the MCAT, I purchased a one-size-fits-all prep course from a large, well-recognized test prep service. Throughout the whole program, I struggled to stay on track and ended up testing even though I did not feel confident or ready. I scored a 498 and only got waitlisted at 1 school.

When I finally accepted the fact that I needed to retake the MCAT, I knew I had to take a different approach; I couldn't use another cookie-cutter program again. After inadvertently using Leah's free resources in almost every one of my prereq courses, I decided that I needed to give her MCAT prep program a chance and I joined the Study Hall. I could not be happier with that decision!

As it turned out, not only was a Study Hall Membership less expensive than my previous program, but I also had access to more resources as well. The library of videos is extensive and logically organized, the pre-made Google Sheets help you track your progress and stay organized with your time, the Facebook group provides a way to ask content questions and engage with other MCAT preppers, and Office Hours provide a space for you to ask about strategy and planning while also learning from other student's questions.

Perhaps the most valuable component of joining the Study Hall is the access to Leah's knowledge, advice, and wisdom regarding the MCAT and med school applications. She understands the whole process backwards and forwards and I strongly believe her recommendations were behind some of the most consequential decisions I made when re-testing and re-applying.

As a result, I jumped from the 38th percentile to 55th percentile and was accepted to my #1 school before the end of October!!!

Leah and her team are the real deal. She knows what works, and by joining the Study Hall, they support you with all the tools you need to succeed while also costing you less than any other MCAT Prep service. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I sincerely hope you decide to join so they can help you reach your dream of becoming a doctor too!”

"Leah’s MCAT Study Hall videos are unlike any other resource out there. I spent a year trying out every MCAT study resource I could find, but nothing or no one else clears concepts up as quickly and concisely as Leah does in her videos! I have always been the type of student to try to memorize as much as possible, but I’ve realized this is impossible for the amount of material the MCAT covers. Leah’s videos have enabled me to truly understand and engage with material so that challenging concepts and equations just “click” now, and I no longer feel pressured to flat out memorize what initially seemed like an endless sea of random concepts/equations. Thank you, Leah!!"

FAQ

Is the MCAT Study Hall Self Study level really worth the cost?

I get it, this isn't your ‘cup of coffee impulse buy'. Even at the super discounted rate, the Study Hall is still quite the investment. I will make sure that when you invest to work with me and my assistant, you feel safe and supported the entire time.

And while it may sound ‘safer' to try going it alone, scrounging the internet for free resources (including my website), how much more time and effort will that cost you in the long run?

How much time wasted trying to figure it out, paying $300+ for a test date only to pay yet again (and again) to postpone and cancel?

If this isn't for you, that's ok. But if you feel that the Study Hall will help you finally reach your whitecoat dreams, NOW is the time to invest in yourself and your future.

Do you offer a free trial?

There are a few reasons why you might be asking this. While I don't offer a free trial, I understand you may have tried quite a few programs and so you may want to check this program out before committing to it. No worries, if after a few days you decide it's not for you, I'm offering a limited time, 1-week satisfaction guarantee: Try the MCAT Study Hall Self Study program out, and if it's not for you let me know within 1 week of your initial sign up date, and I'll refund your study hall cost minus a 4% transaction fee.

I haven’t taken ___ subject. Will this program still help me?

This depends on how close you are to your MCAT date. I’ve worked with quite a few students who take an MCAT subject class after their MCAT. That’s okay, but this means you’ll have to put in twice the effort to learn the material on your own.

The good news is that even students who have taken the class tend to forget some or all of the material. Each of the science bootcamps is taught from a beginner's perspective to ensure that if you ever missed something in your classes, or never took the classes, you still get the proper MCAT foundation in this subject.

What if I can't make the live Office Hours sessions?

No problem! If you can't make the session live, you will still have the opportunity to submit your question ahead of time. I will still answer your question even if you can't make it to the session, and all sessions are recorded and then added to the Study Hall video library.

Why aren't psych and soc included?

I firmly believe you should only learn from someone who’s a master at their craft — and I haven’t mastered these topics yet. Independently, I study and practice these topics so I can still help out and answer questions, but I’m not yet willing to call myself an expert. Once I feel that I can teach with 100% confidence, I will add these topics to the Study Hall.
settings
Divider Text

Does your program come with practice tests and questions?

No, there are no passages and full lengths. As a small business, I don't have the resources to create practice exams that are close enough to the real thing to be worth your time. Instead, I focus my time/resources on teaching the material and ensuring that my students know how to prepare for this exam.

That being said, as a Study Hall member, I will guide you to the best resources (based on student feedback) and help you figure out when to use each one to make the most out of your resources.

What's the difference between the Comprehensive and Self Study Level Study Hall Programs?

The Study Hall included with the Comprehensive and Self Study Level programs are EXACTLY THE SAME.  The only difference is the level of hands on support at each level. In addition to everything listed above for the Self Study level, Comprehensive members also get one-on-one guidance and support through direct messaging, tracker help and 1-on-1 sessions.

While I am still there for you in live Office Hours and the Facebook group, my daily involvement is lower than the hands-on program which is how I am able to make this a budget friendly yet still exactly what you need program.

Although the Self Study level does NOT include a 1-on-1 strategy meeting, members can purchase an add-on session for just $249 as needed.

If I sign up for the MCAT Study Hall, can you guarantee that I’ll score my target score?

NO! No one should realistically make this type of guarantee. And those that do have a lot of fine print...

very student is different, every situation is unique, and, no matter how much I provide, at the end of the day it comes down to you.

How hard are you willing to work in order to attain your target MCAT score? I’ll do my best by helping you craft a strategy, by pointing you to the correct Study Hall resources, and by being there for you to help guide and motivate and answer your questions in live Office Hours, your tracker, and Facebook group. But at the end of the day, it will be up to you to put in the work and utilize the resources available.
